Frederickton

Frederickton is set on a hill overlooking the wide Macleay River and its fertile river flats. Once a private town named after Frederick Chapman, its main industries were shipbuilding, timber getting and pastoral pursuits. Regattas were held there from as early as 1853.

Now famous for its pies, Frederickton offers a perfect rest spot on the Pacific Highway for a bite to eat, a delicious ice cream or a beer. Many of its private homes evoke a colonial past and it boasts a nine-hole golf course.

Fredo Pies has 160 different varities of pies to choose from including the Australian animal meats.
